- Most of the horses we bring to our barn are healthy,
fat, trained and usually ready to be in a new home the next day. The horses listed below are the horses that are in our
adoption Program. Not every horse we bring to our facility has the saame talents or physcial conditioning to be in our beginner
horse program. The horse may be in the adoption due to lack of training, or the horse may be a little off of its weight,
needing a consistent feed program. We then do our best to find this horse a home at a reduced price. Many times the adoption
price is less then we paid for the horse when we bought him off a local ranch, stable or horse sale.
- Staff will do their
best to describe the horse as honestly as possible. We do not want to send a horse home and have the adoption not work out.
If the horse is not loved and wanted at his new home, then the horse would be better off left with us. We hope to match
each adoption horse with a knowledgeable owner who understands the horses strengths and weaknesses.
- We care about every horse that comes to our barn and we do our best
with the resources we have, and unfortunatly not every horse gets the same shakes in life. Many are born with defects or emotional
issues that control their value. Unknown to many folks and the national media, the horse meat trade is still thriving in Texas.
The horses are simply shipped to the border and are taken across on a legal loop hole in the law, sending the Texas horses
straight to a Mexican slaughter house. Without getting emotional about horse slaughter, we simply cannot condone or accept
the practice. I would hate to think that some of the horses we have, that do not make the riding program, could and would
end up in a trailer bound to Mexico.
This program was started
to find horses a home, the best we can. We
will be adding horses to this page as they come to us, and will keep this page updated daily. Please call direct if you have any questions
about our Adoption Program. Office 281-744-2197
